The Ferrari Challenge debuted in 1993 with an Italian and a European racing series. The 348 Challenge was presented as part of this one-make racing series. The model was directly descended from the 348 TB. Only a few changes were made to the original car. The 348 Challenge had 20 more with 320 hp, a different exhaust system, slicks, modified brakes and special dynamic air intakes. The 348 Challenge also had the safety features of a roll bar, six-point seat belts fire extinguisher, front tow hook and circuit breaker. The car was used for the last time in the 1995 season, alongside the F355 Challenge, which was to replace it the following year.
